The display is held every two years and is organised by the Strathdale Bendigo Quilters Inc.

This year Ms Dellar has three quilts in the display.

“This one (pictured above) is taken from a Katie Friesen design called Ode to Morris,” she said.

“I have used blue material so I have called it Morris at Midnight.”

Ms Dellar said the quilt took about 12 months to complete.

She said sewing had been her passion ever since she started when she was a young girl.

“I have always sewn,” she said.

“I was a dressmaker and I recently got into patchworking.

“I can’t put my needle down and I sew everyday.”

She said the quilt display gave members of the group the opportunity to show off their work.

“A lot of our members are shy about their work and don’t think it is good enough,” she said.

“The quilt show allows them to get their work seen in a nonthreatening environment.”

Ms Dellar said members of the group all contributed pieces to a quilt that would be raffled off.

She said the money made from selling raffle tickets would be donated to Loddon Mallee Kids.

The quilt display is on today from 10am at the St Andrews Church Hall.
